    TREE REMOVAL PHOENIX

Tree removal Phoenix there are only a few valid reasons to prune a tree in the urban landscape:

    • Promote tree’s health
    • Reduce hazards to people
    • Train a young tree
    • Increase or decrease flowers/fruit

    Tree Removal Phoenix

    1. Before the chainsaw is started, make sure you are wearing proper attire. Full protective headgear with properly fitting eye protection is a must to keep errant limbs and saw chips from injuring your head and eyes. A good pair of leather gloves and a set of chaps will keep your hands and body from sharp limbs. Boots with anti-slip treads and full ankle support will give you the footing needed when operating a chainsaw. Keep the chain sharp in the saw. A dull chain can make for additional work for you and place excess pressure on the bar and saw.

    1. Use ropes to help pull the tree down into the selected area. Yards with small clearances will require the use of a rope and some help to guide the tree down to the open space. Be aware of your surroundings and any overhead wires or other trees. Trees with power lines in the “down” path should be left for the utility company to deal with. Use a plastic wedge to prevent the tree from settling back onto the chainsaw blade. If possible, keep a backup chain saw handy in case something happens to the one you are using.

    2. Once the tree is down, begin removing limbs on the outside areas of the tree, and work your way into the tree. Cut limbs into manageable lengths. Keep all personnel away until the tree limbs are free of the trunk. Cut tree limbs that are close to the trunk from the opposite side of the trunk. In other words, attempt to keep the trunk between you and the limb you are cutting. Cut all limbs as close to the trunk as possible.

    3. Cut the trunk into small sections that can be handled by either personnel or equipment. Cut trunks that are laying on the ground halfway through from the top; then roll the trunk over and finish the cut. Cut trunks that are supported on one end from underneath to one-third through the trunk; finish by cutting from the top down to meet the underside cut. This will prevent the trunk from binding the saw due to excess bottom pressure.

    4. Hire or rent a tree stump grinder to remove the top area of the stump. You can attempt to burn the stump out, but this practice can take a long time. You can also rot the stump in the ground by cutting grooves in the top of the stump and filling the cavities with salt. The salt will kill the roots and accelerate the wood’s decomposition. It may take several years for the stump to completely rot.
      Inspect the tree.
    5. Before you begin any tree removal operation, you should always inspect the tree. When you begin inspecting your tree, determine whether or not you actually want to remove it. Perhaps you only want to trim it back a bit, instead of removing it carefully. Also, when you inspect your tree, be careful that you look for any bees, hornets, or wasps that may be living in it. These kinds of insects love to live in dead trees, and if your tree is dead, then you may have a hive in the tree and not realize it. Before you finish inspecting your tree, be sure that you note how close it is to any concrete work that you may have nearby. If it is too close, you could end up damaging the concrete.
    6. Whittle the tree down. One of the traditional methods for tree removal is to “whittle” the tree down. This does not mean to take out a pocket knife and make small little cuts to the tree. Rather, it means that you should use a chainsaw to cut the tree down as close to the ground as possible. When using this method, you should always begin as close to the top of the tree as possible, and work your way down. This will allow you to have more control over the tree as it comes down, while also allowing easier removal of the tree itself.
    7. Grind the tree down. While you could allow the stump to remain, you run the risk of attracting hornets, wasps, and bees if you leave it. One way to remove that tree stump is to actually grind it down. Rent a tree grinder from your local home improvement store, or hire a professional to come out and do it for you. By using a grinder you can get the tree all the way down to ground level and even below it a few inches. This will get rid of the roots, but it will remove the unsightly stump (a key element in tree removal).
    8. Pull the tree out. danger treesAnother method that you can use for tree removal is to pull the tree out. This should be done with some mechanical help, like from a truck or a tractor, chains, and some shovels. Drill a large hole through the tree about six inches from the top of the stump, and then insert the chain through that hole. This will allow you to attach the chain to the stump and pull it out with the tractor or truck. Dig around the tree and cut as many of the roots as you can find, since they will extra strength to keep the tree where it is. Begin pulling the tree out with the chain and the truck, but be sure that no one is near the chain as you do this. If the chain snaps it can easily hurt or kill someone.
    9. Call an expert. If for any reason you feel uneasy about doing a tree removal, don’t hesitate to call the experts. While it may be expensive, they will definitely get the job done, not cause any damage to your property, and do the work themselves.
